Learn a basic peyote bezel for any shaped cabochon, stone or glass. Ovals and round cabs are best to start with, but we can make anything work. During the class we will also discuss embellishment options and strap options.
Supplies needed for class: cabochon - pre-glued onto ultra suede, small embroidery hoop, size 11 seed beads in a few colors or delicas, size 15 seed beads, sharp needle, nymo D or C-lon D. Optional: embellishment beads - small leaves, drops, etc.
Before class please glue your cabochon to the ultra suede using E-6000 glue. Do not glue all the way to the edges of your cab, as this will make it harder to bead. Just spread a small amount of glue evenly on the back of your cab out to within 1/8 of an inch of the edge. Press it onto the ultra suede, and leave it alone for at least 24 hours. Remember to leave yourself enough room on the fabric to place a small embroidery hoop.
This class is for beginning to intermediate level beaders. Previous knowledge of Peyote Stitch is helpful.
